Stéphanie Bircher / Naturally Printed Cotton Scarf - Cutch Brown

This scarf was hand-drawn and printed using mordants, then dyed with madder. It is inspired by the ancestral dyeing technique of chintz , rooted in a long local tradition. Its creation required six main steps, all carried out by hand in Switzerland with respect for living ecosystems.

Natural dyes are durable and machine washable. As with any garment, naturally dyed or not, spacing out washes and avoiding direct sun exposure will prolong its lifespan.

Care: For optimal care, wash at a maximum of 40 °C with a detergent free of enzymes or bleaching agents, available in all stores. You can find more information on the technique and care here.
