stephanie bircher / naturally dyed cotton scarf - onion skin yellow

This scarf was hand-drawn and printed using mordants, then dyed with madder. It is inspired by the ancestral dyeing technique of chintz , rooted in a long local tradition. Its creation involved six main steps, all handcrafted in Switzerland with respect for living ecosystems.

Natural dyes are durable and machine washable. As with any garment, whether naturally dyed or not, washing less frequently and avoiding direct sun exposure will prolong its life.

Care: For optimal care, wash at a maximum of 40°C with a detergent free of enzymes and bleaching agents, available in all stores. You can find more information on the technique and care here.
